Hard and soft breaches explained

BREACHES

Every Fundzoria rule is labelled. A hard breach ends the account; a soft breach keeps it open but excludes the affected trades and records a warning.

  • Hard breach: the account ends
  • Soft breach: the account stays open
  • Limits are checked on equity, including floating P/L
  • Daily reset: 02:00 UTC
  • After a breach: start again with a new account

Hard breaches

A hard breach ends the account. These trigger one:

  • Daily loss limit reached (programs with a daily limit).
  • Maximum loss floor reached.
  • Margin stop-out at 50% of the margin in use.
  • No activity for 60 days.
  • Prohibited conduct marked as a hard breach, such as copy trading, cross-account hedging, arbitrage, exploiting platform errors, account sharing or multiple profiles.

What happens next:

  • Trading stops and new orders are blocked.
  • Pending orders are cancelled and open positions are closed at the next available quote.
  • The account cannot be reactivated. You can start again with a new account.

Soft breaches

A soft breach keeps the account open. These trigger one:

  • A first case of automated trading or scripts.
  • A first case of hyperactivity: more than 200 orders in one trading day, or rapid-fire order placement.
  • A first case of all-in gambling: risking most of your loss allowance on one one-sided idea.
  • You can keep trading.
  • Affected trades or profit are excluded from results.
  • A warning is recorded. Repeated soft breaches can be treated as a hard breach.

How the daily limit is measured

The daily loss is how far equity is below the day’s opening balance, as a percentage of the initial balance. The allowance stays a percentage of the initial balance even after your balance grows, and the day resets at 02:00 UTC.

Objectives are not breaches

Profit targets and minimum trading days are objectives. Missing them never closes the account. To pass a phase you need to:

  • Reach the profit target in closed profit.
  • Close every open position.
  • Complete the minimum trading days.

Progression is then automatic. Pending orders are cancelled and the next phase or the Real account starts at the initial balance, with the same loss, inactivity and margin rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I breach a rule?

A hard breach ends the account: trading stops, pending orders are cancelled and open positions are closed. A soft breach keeps the account open, but affected trades or profit are excluded.

Does floating loss count towards my limits?

Yes. Daily and maximum loss are checked against equity, which includes floating profit and loss on open positions.

Can a breached account be reactivated?

No. A hard-breached account cannot be reactivated, but you can start a new challenge at any time.

When does the daily loss limit reset?

Every day at 02:00 UTC. The new day starts from your balance at that moment, so floating losses held past the reset count towards the new day.

Do rule changes affect my existing account?

Trading rules (profit targets, loss limits, trading days, inactivity and leverage) recorded for an existing account stay attached to it. Reward terms such as payout cycles, profit shares, fees, fee refunds and scaling follow the current programme settings.
